Krewe: @Allen Cole has conducted a background check and provided the following report: >>>>>>>>> I have looked into Ms Davidson situation and background and feel that she would make a good candidate for our help. Her situation is through no fault of her own. She was renting a house with her 3 kids when the house was sold out from under her and when she tried to put a down payment on a home found out she had to finalize her divorce. She ended up using her savings to finalize her divorce which forced her to stay in a long term motel situation. It sounds like the motel owner took advantage of her forcing her to vacate the motel. She was then forced to have her children live with friends while she tried to rent a place. What she is asking for; She is asking for first, last, and security deposit on an apartment estimated at $1,500 times 3 for $4,500. Utilities hook-up of about $400 Total estimate around $5,000-$6,000 Will this fix her situation. It should. She currently works at Barefoot Bills restaurant for the last 2 years and is currently making $3,000 to $5,000 per month. This should allow her to pay the monthly rent and utility bills. <<<<<<<<< Thank you, Allen, for the report. Another requirement is that she is "Local" - we don't know where her home will be at this stage, it is possible that it will be in Putnam County, but that fact that she works in St Augustine is, in my opinion, sufficient to meet the intent of "Local" (if her residence is in Putnam County any the motion will include a statement to indicate that this is an exception to the byelaws), We have three options: 1 No support 2 Provide support as requested ($5000 - $6000). 3 Amanda has accrued $14,000 in debt while staying in a motel, she has maxed out her credit card ($3,900) and taken a loan ($8,500). We could consider helping to some extent with one or both, with the intention of solidifying the "fix" and put them on a stable footing for the future. This is very much a matter for the Krewe to discuss. There are pros and cons for options 2 and 3. Capt Proper Roger Captain.
