Krewe, the candidates wish to proceed with an election to designate one MaA. The ballot will be sent later today. We are very fortunate to have two outstanding candidates.

1) I just spoke to Rachael Miller. She has been employed by Flagler Hospital since 2015. She was put in clinal position with their Community Health department by the Flagler Health CEO as a result of her volunteer work as a nurse in the Bahamas (hurricane related). When she was unable to work the required hours during chemo she said she would work as much as her health permitted, but her supervisor responded that they needed full time personnel and that "it would be best if she resigned". 2) @theriverpirate13 Jason Gillette was volunteered to work with Rachael and develop a specific request for the Krewe to consider. Thank you, Jason.

I have spoken to Mark Bailey. I read him the application from Rachael Miller and Mark stated, "That is 100% correct". Mark went on to say that he worked with Rachael to raise money for a Health Care Clinic in St, Augustine, and that she spent a lot of her time as head nurse helping with cleanup operations after hurricanes. Mark clearly has great respect for Rachael and considers her "a great friend".

I'd love to provide you with the additional information needed for you to make your assessment. I grew up here in Florida all my life and went to Flagler palm coast high school. I gave birth to my son at Halifax in Daytona beach then we moved to Atlanta to start a new life about 3 years ago. We moved back home to Palm Coast in August when I was diagnosed. I still have a Georgia driver's license but I am a Florida resident and I do have bills with my name and Florida address listed if that's needed. I am remaining in Palm Coast Florida with my family. I am not familiar with the Flagler care connection. I recently just got approved for food stamps which has been a great help. Previously before I moved I was a freelance cosmetologist and I have my own business but due to not being able to be in close contact with people I put a pause to working with clients. A highschool friend reached out to me once she heard about my situation and advised that when I'm no longer ameno compromised she would be willing to provide me with a booth in her salon in Daytona which is a great opportunity. I've also applied for a short term disability until I am able to work again. Aside from that I have only reached out to my church and family friends for help but I can definitely look into the Flagler Care Connection as well.
