I wish to advise the Krewe of the current status of this project. As noted in my project objectives, we had planned on creating a printed poster and handout sheets seeking new members. To that end, after a couple of months waiting for Covid illnesses and an available photographer, we assembled for a photo session (Cleon, Keli, Michael, Hope and Cory). We then waited several weeks, due to serious illness and hospitalization of the photographer before prints were made available. Unfortunately, the photos were not as impactual as we had hoped for. So, we have decided to go forward with a photo of the Krewe from our Orlando Pirate Night social. This photo will be used to create the posters and handouts we envisioned. We now hope to have a master completed and printed by the end of May. Cleon

Krewe, Proper Roger has asked me for help in recruiting 15 new Swabbies by the end of the first quarter of 2021. We will put an emphasis on attracting new pirates under the age of 55. To that end, I have proposed creating a PR campaign to publicize our desire to find new pirates. We are planning on creating a few posters featuring Kelli, Michael, Cory and Hope. The photo shoot is planned for November 12th. We will develop a campaign around the theme of "We Want You" and "We Are Looking for a Few Good Pirates". An application will be developed that will direct potential candidates to our website for information. We also plan on creating post cards from the photo shoot to be handed out by The Krewe. It is anticipated this project will cost no more than $450 to cover printing costs. We have discussed possible T-shirt and mug sales featuring the developed photo to offset these costs. The only obstacle is the lack of events to allow potential Swabbies the opportunity to introduce themselves and meet the Krewe. We are hopeful this issue can be addressed by others in the Krewe.
