We are Saint Augustine's pirate Krewe for a reason. Level heads and a steady hand are needed to keep a Krewe on course. If we tangle ourselves up in other krewes problems, they will be ours also. And we do not want to tarnish our reputation because of the immature actions of others. I pray for the other krewes to work out their problems peacefully.

From the start the thought "I've heard this before" went through my mind. My Wife manages child support here in Fort Morgan, Colorado. And also works with domestic abuse problems at SHARE. And we also run a company that mediates between people that are getting divorced. So when I read the write up on a new family we may help. I tend to lean towards the sceptical side. This last one was exactly what I have heard almost verbatim, from those that are trying to scam/con others help. I'm glad our verification worked here.

Krewe, I've looked into what is available to Ukrainian immigrants coming into Florida. And it doesn't look great for them. I've tried contacting the Catholic charities in Jacksonville. They work with United way. I have not received a call back from them yet. On United way's recording, it sez they can help with Rent, mortgage and utilities. I've left a message with them. Hopefully I'll hear back from them later It seems like most all of the help that is available is from private families. The discussion I had with Roxy at the Ukrainian project Inc. is that the only help they have for the families are from private donations. And that word of mouth is what makes it all happen. She said that the Catholic charities up in Jacksonville usually only works with the needed paperwork for the immigrant families coming into the area. She did say she can work with some of the food banks also. Also any of the money that comes into the Ukrainian project Inc. is sent straight to the Ukraine. She said it's used for anything from food, clothing, night vision goggles and other equipment that is needed. In other words the money sent to the Ukraine goes directly to the government for military uses. So in conclusion, I believe that at this time we can do the most that anyone can to help these families out.
