I agree. Someone can be on the deed but not the mortgage. Also, probate court is usually dealing with an estate for someone deceased. I’m not sure we have all the facts.

Ahoy Krewe, Thank you for your support. The following is a text from Symone. “I can not express in words how much this means to me. I have been through so much and fought so hard to get afloat. This is life changing and I am still in shock that this is really happening. This is life changing for me.” We will be doing a presentation (in Garb) 3:00 tomorrow at the hotel, The Red Roof Inn, 2453 CR-16A E, St. Augustine.

Krewe, I propose we move forward with a motion to help Symone. Her situation is critical and we need to react now and approve the $2000 request.

I called the Uber rental program to get specifics. You pay weekly and it includes unlimited miles and insurance. The deposit is refundable when you turn the car in. Symone’s long term goal is to get her own car. When she is working she makes good money and will be able to save for a car. Her immediate need is to get back to work and into an apartment. Paying $100 per night for a hotel is not sustainable.

She is very motivated and makes good money when she is working. She is currently applying to get into an apartment and has assistance for that through another resource program. I’m all for giving more to provide her a buffer.

Reliable transportation is definitely key. Her long term goal is to get a good reliable car. She is confident that if she gets back to work she can save for that. However, she really needs to get back to work now and the Uber Eats program provides her an immediate reliable option.

With the availability of laundromats I don’t see a washer and dryer as a dire need. Its more of a convenience, which I totally get. But it doesn’t align to what we do.
