Mates, I would like to take the following discussions to a vote on Friday, April 5, 2024: 1. 2024-03-02 Judes Family request for assistance. Lori Romano has provided the following information:Motion: Provide assistance to the Judes family in the amount of $5230.16 to pay for the following- $3,000 up-front to replace transmission with a 3-year full warranty- $2,200 to cover the labor to replace the transmission- $30.16 in taxes(?) 2. New fundraiser event: Hold a "Decade themed" dance party/Prom starting with the 80's, then the 70's, then a 60's "Sock Hop", each April somewhere in St. Augustine. Every other year hold Casino Night in Palm Coast. Reevaluate after 2 years to determine potential future success. Please provide any input on these two topics. They are asking for a few(+) pirates ☠️ to attend their event this Saturday from 11-3. They are located at 116 Bartram Oaks Walk, Ste 102. Laura or Tracey, was it either of you who got a silent auction item from them? Anyway, please let me know if you are able to garb and attend this event, even for a couple of hours. Unfortunately I have 3 things going on Saturday and can't attend.

Good evening mates, There have been a number of sidebar conversations about doing something different for our March/April fundraiser event. I'd like to open the table to serious discussion. A few ideas that have been tossed out include: • A 70/80s themed dance party • A dance-off • A yearly dance party (60's one year, 70's one year, 80's next year, etc) • Continue to do the Casino Night every 3rd year or so If you have ideas for a fund raiser, any idea, please share and continue the dialog. As you share ideas or support for any of the above, please offer ideas for location and any other event ideas. Thank you

Good evening mates ☠️🏴‍☠️ We will be lining up with Matanzas Bay Buccaneers for the Easter Parade this Saturday. Our staging area is the Subway shop at 162 San Marco Ave. This is basically where we staged for the Christmas parade. If anyone needs to ride, MBB has offered to let some folks ride on their new float. Please plan to be there by 8:00AM, in garb. Absolutely no Easter Bunny outfits. However, you may have little Easter Bunny's on your attire. Same rules as always, no throwing swag, no political signage, no misbehaving. Roads will close at 8:00. Judging starts at 8:00 AM. The route ends at the corner of Cordova and Orange Street so anticipate peeling off from there. Do not stop in the middle of the road. I will bring our Krewe flag. Good morning Krewe, Marina Munch will be celebrating their 4th year on May 3, 2024 from 5-8 PM. We have participated in their events in the past and Nico asked if we'd consider supporting this event. This could be our May dinner in town if anyone is interested. I've actually never been there except to pick up a Silent Auction item.

Good morning Krewe 🌞 Putting out feelers to see if anyone is interested in garbing up and going to dinner at Romano's sometime in the next few weeks. They are closed on Mondays. Our krewemate Lucky 7, aka Lori Russo-Romano has given us Silent Auction items from Romano's on many occasions and it is time we show our appreciation. I am very flexible so I'm asking anyone interested to suggest dates and then we'll pick the best for all.

Good evening Mates, Six days ago I asked for a volunteer to be an advocate for our most recent request for assistance to a dire need. The request came in two weeks ago. No one has stepped up to help. We can not help others if we are not willing to do some work. That work should not fall entirely on the Captain and officers of this Krewe. We have roughly 47 Core members who agreed that when they elected to be a Core member they would assist in helping us meet the mission of this Krewe: to help those within our community who find themselves with a dire need for assistance through no fault of their own. As a Core member that doesn't just mean collecting Silent Auction items and helping out at our two fundraising events. That means actually helping people in need when they come to us. Dire need typically indicates it needs an immediate response. Some of you have stepped up to be an advocate and learned that it isn't necessarily over when we present a check. I am still trying to help Jason and Stacy manage their medical and financial issues with the assistance we gave them. It is not fair to those who have already served as an advocate to ask them to take it on again, not when we have Core members who have never done it. Our reputation as an organization that actually helps people in need is at risk when we don't respond in a timely manner and assist when asked. If you are a Core member and all you do is help when we have an event, other than the event coordinators, I implore you, step up and help our krewe do what we tell the public we do, help those with a dire need. We still do not have someone willing to be an advocate for our most recent request for assistance. That dire need was not met by Krewe of the 13, Inc. I am asking once again for a volunteer to assist with the request from Cindy Newton. If I do not receive a volunteer within the next two days I will have to appoint someone, and that isn't how I would like our Krewe to be led. Captain Elect Tortuga

Mates, we will line up at 9 AM on the street at 55 Orange Street, it is a house. This is roughly where the entrance to the parking lot for the School Board is located. Last year we were near the crosswalk at Ketterlinus (sp), this year we are a bit closer to the pub. Meet at 0900 and wear green. I will have wristbands for everyone who walks. If a person isn't walking they do not get a wristband.

Ahoy Mates!!! I need a count for the St. Patrick's Day parade on Saturday. They normally give free entrance into the Celtic Festival if you walked in the parade so I need to let them know how many pirates we'll have. I will attend the parade meeting tonight and have information about where we'll line up for you tomorrow. We are NOT planning to bring up the golf cart.

She needs 3 people. This could be a great opportunity to network and spread the word of what we do, to people in St. Augustine who have money. Thank you Rachelle, Kathy, Sarah, Killian, Patt, and Lori for an outstanding Casino Night. Also tremendous thanks to the krewe members who bought a ticket and also attended. These events succeed or fail based on the efforts of the entire Krewe. Many mates bring in silent auction items and donations without anyone but the event coordinator knowing. Others support through visible efforts, and many do multiple things to try and ensure our Krewe has a successful fundraiser. The first of our two annual fundraisers is in the books. My deepest gratitude to those who worked so hard to bring this event together, to those who helped throughout and on the night of the event, and to everyone who bought a ticket and attended.
