We will never understand the sacrifice and difficult decisions these families have been forced to make at no fault of their own. Everyone in this Krewe comes from different backgrounds and a broad range of incomes. We've gotten where we are today because we work hard and have choices. We create our own failures or prosperity. These people had no choice! Hopefully, none of us will ever be in their situation. We have an opportunity to prove that America is a country that helps those in need. Those that choose to make the difficult decision to leave the country they love to provide for their family. What a great way to make them feel welcome and show we appreciate and understand the situation they are in by providing assistance.

I have some of the same concerns as Erin. Plus it appears that they also have an organization that specifically helps Ukrainian refugees.
